I purchased my first bow January 20, 2009 from Coyote Bluff Archery in Bristow, Oklahoma. I instantly loved it. I made time to shoot as much as possible. However, it seemed no matter how much I practiced, I could never shoot a twenty target 3D range with a score any higher than the upper 160’s or lower 170’s. I asked Darrel Trout to coach me, and three days after my first lesson, I shot a 181 at an ASA state qualifier, a week later I shot a 191 at another state qualifier and won first place. Two weeks later, at the State Championship Shoot, I shot a 248 ( 25 targets) and placed 4th in the State out of 14 shooters. I would recommend Darrel Trout as a coach to anyone either beginning the sport, or an experienced shooter trying to raise his or her score.
